Beth on Spruce Mtn

Where are you stuck?

You’ve had a long career working in nonprofits. It’s always been busy but fulfilling. You know your work makes a difference. But lately you’re really feeling the stress of tighter resources, constant political pressure, and too much work without enough support. It’s discouraging. Some days you just don’t want to go to work at all. Is it time to leave? What would happen to your organization if you abandoned ship? And what would you do?

If you stayed, could you re-kindle the fire? What would it take to be enthusiastic about your work again?

“When I started coaching with Beth, I was grappling with a senior manager role. I didn’t feel it was a good fit, and I was evaluating how much longer I wanted to be with the organization, where I’d been for ten years. As a result of coaching, my energy around the organization and the work we do has really shifted. I’ve been able to jump into a leadership role that’s more authentic for me.” —Steve L.

You’ve just been promoted to a management position. You’re excited about the new challenges—and a little nervous, too. You have great ideas about the programs. But what about the people? How will you create the kind of work culture you imagine, and still make sure the work gets done? You’re smart, you work hard, and you are passionate about the organization’s mission. But what if that’s not enough?

“I had been promoted and there had been lots of different changes in the organization soon after I began coaching. I was having some challenges with taking on that leadership. Through coaching, I have really thought about how I own this new role of director. I’ve become a stronger leader, more skillful and direct in my communication. I’m a better manager now.” —Stacy K.

You’re on the brink of a big life change. You’re leaving your job to take off in a whole new direction, you’re going back to school, you’re embarking on a new relationship, you’re starting a new business, you’re moving to another country! Or maybe you’re just longing for a change, restless and discontented but not sure why. What’s the next step? Could you really make a living from your art? What if you can’t find another job? How will you ever balance the work you love and everything else?

“I started coaching as I was going through a career change. A friend gave me a series of sessions to help with my transition. Beth was so helpful that I decided to continue with coaching. Coaching with Beth helps keep me more grounded and focused. But even more important, I’ve developed an awareness that “things can be different” – that there are different ways of looking at my life and creating a new story.” —Rebekah E.

Wherever you’re stuck, I can help you get moving again.
